In comp.ai.vision you write:
>We are about to purchase some more Line Scan Camera equipment.
..
>part of the world seem to have gone out of existence.
> Eikonix Corporation
>and Fairchild CCD Imaging
..
the Fairchild story:
In 1989, Fairchild Weston Systems was purchased by Loral Corp., a New York
based company devoted primarily to military and defense business.
Loral Fairchild Company was formed from three companies with
former Schlumberger affiliations - Daystrom Military Electronics,
Electro-Mechanical Research and Fairchild Aerial Camera Corp.
The former Fairchild CCD Division forms the core of Loral Fairchild
Imaging Sensors, designing, manufacturing and testing visible and
infrared CCD devices for both military and commercial applications.
So far a bit of background information....
