UCLA Short Course on "Photometry and Colorimetry in Electronic

On October 30-November 3, 1995, UCLA Extension will present the short
course, "Photometry and Colorimetry in Electronic Imagery and Industry",
on the UCLA campus in Los Angeles.
The instructors are Lawrence E. Tannas, Jr., MSEE, Tannas Electronics;
Kenneth A. Miller, MS, consultant; J. J. Rennilson, Advanced Retro
Technology; and Gary K. Starkweather, MS, Apple Computer.
As part of the course fee, each participant receives the text, "Color
Science: Concepts and Methods, Quantitative Data and Formula", and an
extensive
kit of laboratory materials providing test charts, color tables, gray shade
scales, metameric pairs, etc.
Course topics include Photometry and Colorimetry of Displays, Human
Vision and Color Order Systems, The CIE System, Optical Radiation,
Color Measurement Techniques, Color and Hard Copy, and Faithful Color
Reproduction and Transfer. The course also includes a full day of
laboratory demonstrations and experiments.
Participants have an opportunity to perform photometric measurements
and color balancing experiments in laboratory sessions, and actually
measure their color aptitude.
The course fee is $1695, which includes the text and extensive course
materials.
