POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION in 3D GRAPHICS
University of Glasgow, Scotland

3D-MATIC, the graphics lab of the computer science department of the
University of Glasgow, has access to new technology that is
revolutionising 3D data capture. This technology now makes it possible
to capture 3D models of people, animals and objects which are both
metrically accurate and photo-realistic in appearance, using digital
camera technology.

The post is available immediately. Salary will be in the range of
£16,286 to £24,479 per annum depending on age, qualifications and
experience. The position is awarded for an initial 1-year period and
may be extended. This project is funded under the EU Training and
Mobility of Researchers programme. Under the EU rules, you must be a
national of the Member States or Associated States, and must not be over
35 years old at appointment. You cannot apply for a post inside your
home country.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD experience of working in the fields
of 3D computer vision, computer graphics, 3D medical imaging or
photogrammetry techniques. Accordingly, applicants for the post will
normally be expected to have graduated in relevant or related subjects,
including mathematics, computer science, physics, electronics
engineering, topographic science or metrology. Good applicants without
higher degrees will also be considered.
