state-of-the-art video enhancement products for media and forensic

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary job responsibility in this position is the software
engineering associated with advancing our state-of-the-art video
enhancement products. Daily activities will include UI and processing
infrastructure design and implementation, code debugging, release
management etc to standards appropriate for commercial product
development. The person filling the position will also be expected to
advance their understanding of relevant software SDKs and maintain a
reasonable understanding of the operation of computer and video hardware
associated with the product line.
Additionally a suitable candidate is expected to be comfortable
participating in the development of new algorithms and video processing
approaches.
Other job responsibilities will include some amount of technical
interaction with customers, business partners and sponsors and a
contribution to the maintenance of engineering infrastructure.
This position offers significant autonomy and requires a self-starter,
comfortable and effective when given sole responsibility for significant
tasks.
EXPERIENCE
A background in more than one of the following areas is desired.
* QuickTime and/or DirectShow media APIs
* Video and image processing software development
* J2SE including Swing GUI (not J2EE)
Prior experience developing a commercial software application is required.
EDUCATION
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics or other
numerical science is required. An advanced degree is preferred. Visa
sponsorship is not available.
