The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, The University of
Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas is seeking applicants to be
part of an exciting research project to establish a comprehensive
framework for optimal acquisition and deployment of digital imagery in
computer-assisted eye disease evaluation. Remuneration is commensurate
with skills and experience.

Qualifications: Applicants should have a doctoral degree in computer
science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical
engineering, or related fields. A good understanding of computer vision,
color management, digital imagery acquisition, computer monitor display,
and digital image processing is desirable. The position requires the
ability to analyze digital images and imaging techniques, and assess
computer hardware needs relative to software. Experience using
statistical methods in bioengineering and medical imaging research and
analysis is essential. Familiarity with optics is an advantage.
