The Robotic Intelligence Laboratory (RobInLAB),

(SPAIN), has 2 open PhD Student positions, each one in any of the
following two projects:
(P-1) "A Complete Autonomous Manipulation System based on Data Fusion
and Learning Techniques for Service Robots"

(P-2) "RAIEL: Robotics and Artificial Intelligence E-Laboratory for the
teaching/learning at a distance using real robotic systems and
collaborative techniques"

These PhD studentships positions are available within the framework of
Education and Scientific Spanish Ministry that is the national
institution supporting the aforementioned research projects. you can

Appointment for each one of the PhD positions is for a period of 4 years
and should lead to a dissertation. The salary will be approximately 1100EUR
per month.

Important data:
- Starting date: not later than April/May 2005
- Duration: 4 years
- Required education: Master in Computer Science, or Robotics, or Electronic
Engineering
- Required skills: Programming in C, C++, and Java; statistics; experience
with Linux; fluency in written/spoken English
- Experience in Robotics (mechanics and control) and Artificial Intelligence
(soft computing and learning approaches) is an advantage.
