Professorial Positions in Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering

)is being
further strengthened by the appointment of two Professors to key
leadership roles in the areas of Robotics & Mechatronics and Electrical
& Electronic Engineering. This builds on recent professorial
appointments in the areas of Engineering Mathematics, Engineering
Design, Bioengineering and Surface Science & Interface Engineering. The
Professors will contribute to the strategic direction of Engineering at
Swinburne, provide leadership and promote innovation and excellence in
research, teaching, and learning, and develop research within their
discipline and in collaboration, both nationally and internationally.
The people we seek for these critical roles will be strongly committed
teaching academics who also have an interest in developing applied
research both within their discipline and in collaboration with others,
both academic and industrial. Collaborative research is encouraged
within the Faculty and across the campus, as well as nationally and
internationally. Each Professor will be associated with a group of
colleagues within the Faculty. There is also the possibility of junior
appointments to be made in association with these Professorial
