Excellent opportunity for PhD graduates/research fellows with a computer
vision/image processing background - Surrey, UK.
A unique opportunity to join an internationally funded start up company
specialising in the development of video content analysis applications
for the CCTV/surveillance market.
Based near Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, the company is looking for PhD
graduates/research fellows to join its team of experienced technical and
management personnel that are well respected within the CCTV arena. The
company has developed a prototype tracking engine on a Texas Instruments
Davinci DSP and the successful applicant will be a key player in the
continuing development of embedded video content analysis software for a
new range of IP security cameras.
Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, you will be a technology
driven individual with a research background in computer vision or image
processing and strong C/C++ software development skills in this field.
Ultimately, the algorithms will be ported to a Texas Instruments DaVinci
DSP with embedded Linux on an ARM9 platform but much of the prototyping
work will be done in Windows so excellent C and C++ development skills
on both Windows and Linux are essential. You will have a good bachelor's
degree from a top-tier university in electronics/computing or related
discipline. You will be proficient in written and spoken English.
Your background in computer vision/image processing means you will play
a key part in the prototyping and development of our algorithms. You
will also be exposed to software development on a wide range of
platforms including Windows, Linux and TI DSP, further broadening your
skills as a professional engineer.
