JOB SUMMARY:
The Product Marketing Specialist's primary responsibility in the Modular
Vision Systems Division is the management of assigned products from
initial concept through development and introduction to insure superior
market, functional, and competitive performance. This particular
position is within the Vision Systems Business Unit. This position will
be located in either West Allis, WI or Natick, MA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Collecting and documenting new product input from customers,
sales engineers, marketing, and other internal and external sources as
well as relating the needs and requirements of those groups to the
development team throughout the new product process;
2. Developing and delivering product presentations, writing
collateral material, and interfacing with the trade press;
3. Serving as the focal point for sales force questions and
feedback regarding assigned products, and conducting sales meeting and
sales training sessions on those assigned products;
4. Assisting with product family and technology planning; and
5. Maintaining an awareness of applicable new technologies,
competitive products and techniques, industry standards, and future
market trends and opportunities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. A BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science,
Physics or equivalent technical discipline is required.
2. An MBA with a concentration in Marketing is a plus.
3. 3 to 5 years of technical product marketing experience is also
required.
4. Product experience should include at least one of the
following: sensors, automatic identification, industrial control,
machine vision, operator interface, motion control, or robotics.
