One postdoctoral researcher position is open immediately at the
Ahmanson-Lovelace Brain Mapping Center, Department of Neurology, David
Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. The ideal candidate should have a PhD
in Electric Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics or related
fields. He or she is expected to develop advanced Arterial Spin
Labeling and functional MRI techniques, including both pulse sequences
and image reconstruction algorithms (e.g., radial, parallel imaging,
and sparse sampling). Past experience with pulse sequence programming
and image reconstruction on the Siemens platform is preferred but not
necessary. He or she is also expected to collaborate with various
clinical investigators and basic scientists in the UCLA health
sciences and the Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (LONI). The
Ahmanson-Lovelace Brain Mapping Center currently houses one Siemens
Tim Trio 3T scanner, one Siemens Sonata 1.5T scanner and one Bruker
Biospin 7T small bore scanner, all dedicated to research. A whole body
human 7T scanner is in the plan. This position is funded by an NIMH
grant for 2 years and can be extended to the 3rd year. UCLA offers a
