Be part of the team developing revolutionary 3D displays.

In 2002 Sharp was the first company to launch 3D displays for the
consumer market. Sharp Laboratories of Europe is the key center
developing 3D technology for Sharp. We are recruiting a scientist or
engineer to develop new image processing and content creation
technologies that will enable the next generation of 3D displays.
The successful candidate will:
- Join an existing team developing image processing algorithms for 3D
displays and improved TV image quality
- Study systems and image issues for 3D and develop methods to enable
high quality 3D displays
- Develop hardware and software methods of generating 3D content
- Assess image quality issues for TV and develop image improvement
methods

You will be a high calibre, creative scientist or engineer with a
passion for technology. You will have at least a good degree (2.1 or
1st) in Computer Science / Mathematics / Engineering / Physics. You
will have experience in C and C++ programing and in working with
images, computer graphics or an interest in computer vision. In the
case of more experienced candidates, a track record of quality and
innovation in research as evidenced by significant publications,
patents or other achievements is required. Candidates should be
strongly motivated, possess good communication skills and show
evidence of an ability to work effectively as part of a team.

SLE offers full training for roles although you will likely already
have some experience in image processing / image science

SALARY: From =A328,000 depending on skills and experience
